Very nice old paintings of the original church. I remember going up to the Whispering Gallery as a child, and being overwhelmed by the scale of the building.

There used to be an extra height experience too. Walking up little more than a ladder, to peep out of an opening at the top of the dome. I did that too, but couldn’t see much. x
