  1. It is arguable that without Wellington, the map of Europe would look very different today. We must not forget Blucher and his Prussians, though. He helped turn the tide at Waterloo, late in the day.

    • We mustn’t forget but I believe there was a lot of waiting around for the Prussians to appear which can’t have helped. My, it would be different if Wellington hadn’t cracked it. He’s not a forebear but various ones did fight under him in the Rifle Brigade!
