  1. I knew all of these, except the Whitechapel shop. Years of living and working in the city made me familiar with them, and I passed James Smith’s umbrella shop every day from 2004-2012, as I travelled to work. My personal favourite is the Modernist re-styling of Fox Umbrellas, on London Wall.
