During WW2 more than 60 million Europeans fled their homes to escape persecution and all the horror and devastation that war brings with it.

Time may have moved on, but sadly the situation remains as dire as ever with nearly 34,000 people throughout the world being forcibly displaced every day due to conflict or persecution. That is 24 people every single minute.
