I thought you’d enjoy it. It’s given me a yearning to see all those films we grew up with one after another. And the Colditz series. Remember the episode where Michael Bryant pretends to go mad and ends up going mad? One of the best performances ever to come out of British television. I also have a sneaking desire to see all of Manhunt again, although that’s resistance rather than POWs!

I do remember all those quite well. I also liked Holden in the film ‘Stalag 17’ and when I was younger, often chuckled at ‘Hogan’s Heroes.’ (Which is still shown on TV now…)

I was thinking of Stalag 17 among the others. I was just too young for Hogan’s Heroes. I knew of it but never knew what it was about.

It was a comedy series based on the Stalag 17 film. Hogan was a worldly-wise ‘fixer’, and all the Germans were pretty stupid!
